By using Plika.app (“the Software”), you agree to these terms.

1. License Grant

The Software is provided under a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license. Purchasing a license grants you the right to use the Software for personal use only. This license does not constitute a sale of the Software.

2. Intellectual Property

The Software, its source code, design, and documentation remain the exclusive property of Plika Team. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may not copy, modify, distribute, decompile, or create derivative works of the Software.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Plika Team does not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.

The Software and its associated services (sync, license verification) are provided on a best-effort basis with no availability commitment: interruptions related to maintenance, hosting, or third-party services may occur.

4. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Plika Team be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Software. Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the license.

5. Updates and Support

Plika Team is under no obligation to provide updates, bug fixes, or technical support. Any updates provided are at Plika Team’s discretion and subject to these terms.

6. Data Privacy

The Software operates in local-first (offline) mode. Your financial data is stored only on your device and encrypted (AES-256). No personal data is collected, transmitted, or stored on our servers, except when voluntarily using the cloud sync feature (data encrypted client-side).

Exchange rate feature: The Software may, at your express request, retrieve indicative exchange rates from the ECB via the Frankfurter service (frankfurter.dev). These rates are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial advice or a guarantee of accuracy or availability. Plika Team disclaims all liability for financial decisions made based on these rates.

7. Termination

The license may be revoked if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent French courts.

9. PRO License and Payment

The PRO version is sold through the Gumroad platform (Gumroad, Inc.). Payment is processed exclusively by Gumroad. Plika Team does not have access to your payment information (credit card, etc.).

The PRO license is a lifetime license (no subscription). It is activated with a license key and limited to a specific number of devices.

10. PRO License Limits

Each PRO license is limited to 4 simultaneous devices. Beyond this limit, activation on a new device will be refused. Contact support to reset your devices if needed.

The free version is limited to 2 accounts. The PRO version unlocks unlimited accounts.

11. Automatic License Verification

To ensure the validity of your PRO license, the Software performs an automatic verification every 7 days via our backend server (which communicates with the Gumroad API). Only your license key is transmitted; no financial data is sent.

If verification is not possible (no Internet connection), a 90-day grace period applies. During this period, PRO features remain active. After 90 days without successful verification, PRO features are disabled but your data remains fully accessible for reading and writing.

12. Refund Policy

In accordance with EU Directive 2011/83 (Article 16, point m), the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied in a non-tangible form where performance has begun with your express consent and acknowledgment that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

Any refund is subject to Gumroad’s policy and at the discretion of Plika Team.
